I am back again and that too with a new destination up on the hills,  as I have  been travelling a lot , so more inclined towards the wanderlust inside me . But I am sure you guys will enjoy  reading this.

So, recently I have visited  one of the most famous hill station in  Maharashtra.

Hill of strawberries, many people call it Mahbi as well but it is one and only Mahabaleshwar…

Mahabaleshwar is quite vast and bounded by valleys on all side. And located about 120 km from pune and 285 Km from Mumbai.

I  am in love with this place, it is pretty colorful , and has amazing blissful weather. It’s a perfect gateway with a mixture of relaxation as well fun.

And I would highly recommend you guys to stay at Le Meridian resort & Spa, though it’s a little expensive property but completely worth your penny. And has been rated as the best spa in Asia.

It is secluded from the outside world and brings guest in touch with nature and tranquility

It’s a huge property and you will require at least two days to cover the complete property. There are amazing activities for kids as well as adult. Plus the best part is the temperature controlled pool (infinity pool) .

Lip smacking food and amazing service at your help. Also a very good destination for weddings.

If someone is pure vegetarian than I would recommend staying at Ram Sukh Resort & Spa. They have well structured  designed rooms with private pool and scenic bathrooms. (P.S more than expensive but its worth your penny also there are normal classic and deluxe rooms that will be reasonable for those who are more into sight seeing rather than looking for an extravaganza stay)

Another option for stay if you are considering budget hotel  is Brightland Resort & Spa. Good food, good tariff and perfect for relaxing.

I have myself visited all these properties, so I would suggest these three for the stay at mahabaleshwar .

Lets explore mahabaleswar : Places to visit during your stay.

• Mapro : As all of us know its like a must to visit if you are going to mahabaleshwar. They serve the best strawberry shake , pizza & sandwich. Also you can have a look at their strawberry garden and shop the mapro products.Will advice people to put this into your travel list.

• SherBaug : A small park to chill for a while, best part here is the water park, amazingly designed with water sprinklers and waterfall. Also there is fossil park and haunted house inside. ( P.S you can also stay at the tree house and tents for a different experience ) Another different and good option for budget destination wedding.

• Wheels-on : A small amusement park with the valley view. Rides over here are basic but the view is outstanding . It’s worth exploring rides over there. 

• Local Market: There is a local market to shop in mahabaleswar. Those who want to experience the fruity essence of strawberries with that the local accessories will give touch to your look. 

• Boating & Horse Riding : Basic need of all hill station.  And with family and friends it’s an Add on of fun element. 

• Table Top: Thats a good point to explore in mahabaleshwar with buggy ride,astrologer,junk food and some hidden history.

• Elevated Points: Wilson point, 3 monkey point, Arthur point, Kates point, Venna Lake are also important attractions . ( Mandatory for a hill station)

Also,people who are not looking at the stay, one day visit is also perfect. You Just need to start your day early to cover things at pace.

Transport:

Bikes or cars: Definitely travelling through car is better option as it is just 3 hours journey. But if you are more like a traveller and want to do crazy fun than grab your bikes and go ahead.

Buses: Local government buses are available in every 1 hour.

Rail:Nearest railroad is Satara, around 60 km. Nearest major railway junctions include Pune (120 km)

Air: Nearest airport is Pune Airport.
