Bali Diaries Part 2

Hellooo Gulabis !

As promised in my previous blog, I am back here on track with your Gulabi Mondays with Bali Diaries Part 2.

I know you guys enjoyed the last blog and are eagerly waiting for the second part. So let’s get started.

I told you about 5 must do/visit places in Bali in my last blog, and continuing that here are the remaining 5 things from the Top 10 List. I have also mentioned the basic things you should know while travelling to Bali.

6. Coffee plantations:

Coffee plantations are pretty famous in Bali, where you can visit and have a look closely how exactly different type of coffees are made. Also you can try all the varieties of coffee and then buy the one you like.

One of the most interesting feature of the coffee plantation is the Luwak coffee, which is the most expensive coffee and it’s beans are actually processed from the shit of the animal Luwak.

Haha! Yes that’s true, don’t be disgusted it’s super interesting when you actually witness it.

7. Nusa Dua beach:

If you are crazy  for beaches and water sports is your passion , this is the place for you. Here you can try out different water sports but the highlight is the diving . You can spot  lot of turtles during the dive , which is an amazing sight.

Also, they have another interesting concept of having breakfast with animals like Chimpanzees , Lions, etc .
So if you want some fun kinda episode , nothing scary at all you can definitely try this out .

if you are the one who loves to shoot the landscape beauty plus the picture perfect and one of the most famous place for photography is the rice terrace during the sun rise and its beautiful scenes of rice paddies involving the subak .Also, Some souvenir sellers and the old farmer will seem occasionally pushy but shop only if you are good with bargain.

Some important pointers to remember while travelling Bali :

Good time to travel: Oct-Feb

Flight journey get a bit hectic ,as there is no direct flight to Bali. You generally need to take a layover at Kuala Lumpur for an hour or so. Making it a straight 9 hour journey from Mumbai to Bali via Kuala Lumpur .

Vegetarians – Do carry your house hold snack as its bit difficult to get Indian food all the time. Though there are some really good Indian food resto with amazing food.

Always carry dollars in cash or card and you can exchange it into Bali currency easily over there.

Most interesting and funny fact about Indonesian currency is 500 INR = 1,00,000 IDR. (Yes our Indian currency 500 rs is 1 lac in Indonesian currency)It is really funny when you get the bill stating 2,50,000 for food. Haha !

Visa is on arrival and free of cost for Bali.

I would highly recommend you guys to stay at Seminiyak, as it is a good place to stay, good for night life, great street shopping too.
